As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will collaborate with our Senior Electronics Test Engineer to design and implement sophisticated electronic test systems, ensuring the highest standards of performance and efficiency. You'll play a key role in devising and monitoring robust testing processes, contributing to the optimal performance of PCB designs across our business.


Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and accurate mechanical motor drawings using industry-standard CAD tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate concepts into comprehensive technical drawings, taking action to implement changes in line with our company change process.
  • Analyse and optimise mechanical designs for functionality, manufacturability, and efficiency.
  • Generate precise documentation to support the manufacturing process, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to reality.
  • Contribute to design reviews, providing valuable insights to enhance the quality and efficiency of mechanical drawings.
  • Select appropriate materials and finishes, considering factors such as durability, cost, and project requirements.
  • Work seamlessly within a collaborative team environment, contributing to the success of various projects.
  • Embrace a variety of mechanical drafting tasks that support projects, showcasing your adaptability and versatility.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, offering your expertise to shape the direction of our projects.
  • Maintain organised documentation in adherence to local operating procedures, implementing changes through our company change process.

Experience needed:

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, showcasing a strong educational background.
  • Team player mentality, thriving in a collaborative work environment.
  • Previous experience in specifying electronic components, with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of electronic testing standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for effective task management.
  • Rapid learner with a flexible engineering approach, ready to tackle diverse challenges related to electronic testing.
  • Familiarity with electronic schematic capture, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the testing process.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in the Naval / Maritime domain would be advantageous.
  • Experience with XJtag and LabVIEW Test Stand, highlighting proficiency in cutting-edge testing tools.
  • Proven experience in designing electronic test systems, showcasing expertise in complex projects.
