Introduction
Our client, a well-established company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a CNC Manual Machinist to join their busy team in Andover. In this role, you will be responsible for operating both Mazak and Hurco machines within a fabrication industry setting.
Key Skills
- Significant experience in CNC Manual Machine operating
- Strong understanding of CNC machining techniques
- Previous experience with Mazak and Hurco machines preferred
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues
- A strong commitment to health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC manual machines, ensuring they are properly calibrated and maintained
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to accurately manufacture components
- Use various precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions
- Maintain high quality standards and monitor the production process for any defects or errors
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues as they arise, minimising downtime
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient production flow and achievement of targets
- Complete all required documentation and record keeping accurately
Job Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Manual Machinist in a fabrication industry
- Competent in operating Mazak and Hurco machines
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machinery issues effectively
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 07:30am - 16:30 (40 hours per week)
