The Job

SDA (Submarine Delivery Agency) are currently recruiting for an IT Service Analyst to join one of our forward thinking and progressive teams based in MOD Abbey Wood campus, giving you a fantastic chance to form an integral part of our IM&IT (Information Management & Information Technology) function.

Playing an active part of the Service Management community, you will support relationship management with Key Stakeholders whilst actively growing your own knowledge in Service Management and ITIL framework. You will deliver standardisation management services, including the management and development of our online application as well as various other IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support monitoring of application life cycle planning, controls and support Service Provider relationships
  • Support changes to the Service portfolio by applying the processes and procedures, to ensure successful changes are implemented
  • Apply tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information to ensure data integrity and suggest process improvements
  • Assess, analyse and document future change initiatives that will impact or be additional to the current Service portfolio, escalate where appropriate
  • Support relationship management with Key Stakeholders for live services
  • Actively grow own knowledge in Service Management and ITIL framework
  • Support service compliance of all IT and service (assets) in line with business and regulatory requirements
  • Be an active part of the Service Management community, attend meetings and participate in working groups
  • Improve capability within the function and participate in other function improvement activities

What you will be assessed against

To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

  • Service management experience/knowledge within the ITIL framework in an organisation

It will also benefit your application if you are able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:

  • Experience in working as part of a team to deliver a quality service to the business
  • Ability to interface with stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
  • Experience in maintaining IMIT (Information Management & Information Technology) system availability for business use
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI
