The Job

An IT Service Provider is requiring an IT Support Analyst to join their end client based in Brussels, Belgium.

NATURE OF TASKS

  • 1st line support analysis of application incidents
  • Recording, tracking and monitoring of business workflow application incidents, problems and impediments up to their resolution
  • Organisation, implementation and maintenance of (IS) support
  • User guidance and support regarding the use of information systems / ICT tools, by phone and e-mail
  • Analysis, tracking and monitoring of business workflow application incidents, problems and impediments up to their resolution
  • Analysis of business cases, requirements and processes
  • Business model analysis
  • Reviewing and aligning ICT processes and business requirements
  • Analysis user requirements
  • Functional and technical documentation
  • Mastering of information sites and maintenance of the unit's knowledge base
  • Follow-up of service quality in the context of incident, problem and impediment management
  • Management and follow-up of user requests
  • Guidance regarding the use of information systems
  • Management of incidents related to information systems; reporting
  • Conception and organisation of user documentation for information systems
  • Conception and management of IS and ICT end user support and assistance
  • Participation in user, service and project meetings
  • Depending on the circumstances, the support manager may be requested to provide assistance or support in the resolution of production issues.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Proven experience in the abovementioned tasks is essential.
  • Knowledge of the relevant products, methodologies and technologies required for the specific request
  • Very good knowledge in ITIL procedures and the related support tools is a major asset
  • Good knowledge of business workflow application analysis tools (e.g. PL/SQL, SOAP-UI) is an asset
  • Very good knowledge of MS-OFFICE tools is mandatory
  • Ability to apply high quality standards to all tasks
  • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
  • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
  • Very good command of the English language is mandatory; knowledge of other community languages is an asset
  • Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience with higher post-secondary school degree
  • Minimum 9 years of professional experience without higher post-secondary school degree

Specific expertise

  • Good knowledge of specific support tools or techniques and documentation writing in the context of business workflow application end user support and assistance

Contract for 3 months initially paying €280 per day freelance. Must be willing to be based in Brussels and to work freelance with an EU registered company. Fixed Term Contract salary rates available at request.
