The Job

Nature of the tasks

The consultant will perform the following tasks:

  • Follow up the lifecycle of each IT project (requirements, specifications, analysis, software development, etc.) from the initial request until the final acceptance;
  • Conducting the reception and acceptance procedures of deliverables;
  • Full management of bugs, incidents and different problems reported by the Publications Office. This task includes: compilation of incidents; reporting incidents to the contractor in charge of software development/maintenance, identification of the cause of the incident based on the information available; follow-up of the resolution of incidents; reception of deliveries and testing; elaboration of detailed reports to track quality and statistics and any other activity to ensure that the incidents reported are fully managed;
  • Gathering the different requests sent by the Publications Office. Making sure that all the requests are always documented and reported to the Publications Office. Elaboration of reports of the different requests in order to be sent for analysis and elaboration of specifications;
  • Assisting the Publications Office in technical matters during the technical meetings or technical studies or analysis;
  • Organization of meetings and elaboration of meeting minutes;
  • Management of the guarantee period of each order if applicable. Make sure that all the bugs reported related to any specific order during the guarantee period are fixed by the relevant service provider according to the guarantee standards;
  • Organization of users' training when needed. The training may be provided by the contractor in charge of software development/maintenance, by the Publications Office's internal resources or by any other resources;

Knowledge and skills

Proven Experience in the following areas:

  • Enterprise Architecture o Experience on EA Infrastructure
  • Experience in Unix/Linux systems and Windows Server 2012
  • Experience in Security Audit and Security Review is a plus o Experience in TOGAF, ArchiMate, CoRA, AWS/Cloud experience are a plus
  • Tools & Processes
    • Agile methodologies & Scrum
    • Experience in PMBoK or equivalent
    • Experience in working with Atlassian Jira, Confluence
    • Experience in UML, BPMN, RUP
    • Experience in SVN and Git
    • Proficient use of Visio, Excel and other Office apps
    • Experience with the EA modelling tools like ARIS, and Archi is a plus
    • Experience with Qlik Sense and Qlik GeoAnalytics is a plus
    • Experience in ITIL is a plus
  • Software Development
    • Java Technologies
    • J2SE, J2EE, EJB, JSP
    • Apache Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic
    • Spring Framework
    • XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD, DTD)
    • Experience in UBL is a plus
    • Experience in Schematron is a plus
    • Oracle Database Services and PL/SQL
    • Experience in Document/Graph Databases is a plus
    • Experience in GraphDB is a plus
