The Job

1stline IT Service Desk Support Analyst - 1st line IT Support, IT Helpdesk, Windows, Desktop, networking, Cisco, Hardware, Software, 1stline - Epsom - Providing the first point of support for critical systems and networks

This role provides a range of 1st line support covering technical issues and problems from initial point of contact - be that via email, by phone or through a support ticketing system - through to resolution; with a focus on strong customer service throughout! It's a busy and challenging environment but you'll be joining a good team and have a chance to learn new skills and improve on your IT knowledge and experience.

You'll need to have previous IT support experience providing remote support and assistance and be familiar with escalating more complex issues to specialist teams or arranging field engineer visits.

Ideal applicants will have a relevant degree or technical certifications (such as Microsoft or CompTIA) but you can't beat hands on experience! Ideally you'll have broad IT support experience across the following -

  • Basic Microsoft Support - Windows, Active Directory
  • Basic Networking concepts - DNS, routing & Switching
  • Basic understanding of routers, switches and firewalls
  • Good IT hardware and software troubleshooting knowledge
  • Basic troubleshooting of applications to understand issues and guide users
  • Use of Service Desk logging tools - eg Remedy, ServiceNow
  • An understanding of ITIL best practice (Foundation V3 certification also desirable)
  • Remote access and desktop control tools

In return, a salary range of £28k is on offer (dependant on experience)

Due to the nature of the role a small amount of travel may be required (this will be paid for) and you may be required to undergo security clearance as part of the role. To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
