Application Lead - Finance
An Application Finance Lead is required on a permanent basis working in Worthing
Working for a leading utilities company who are currently going through an exciting IT transformation which will strategically change the way it delivers IT support and services to its business and end users. To help support this strategic initiative, a new IT Application services unit is being introduced, which will become the delivery unit for Southern Water end users requiring IT support and services along with support delivering strategic and tactical projects.
There is a competitive salary on offer of up to £65,000 per annum and an attractive benefits package To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of Operational Technology and the software development life-cycle. Scope of role Operational Technology support / configuration, capturing end user requirements and configuring, testing and integrating as necessary in accordance with current business practices.
Support new project implementation aligned with business objective and solutions.
Provide 1st & 2nd line support (L2-3 as applicable) for business applications under role scope.
Out of hours first-line support to the OT System hardware and software 24x7 standby rota. Such configuration support and associated activities includes those provided to the real-time Prism Nexus environment.
A critical part of this job is to be flexible to support other strands of the team in meeting overall Team objectives.
Design, create, test and document new and amended Operational Technology components, configuration, code base and programs from supplied specifications in accordance with agreed standards.
Facilitate productive relationships with and between key stakeholders.
Ensure that project and business application support documentation is maintained.
Support and maintain the OT infrastructure which underpins the Company's Operational business and enterprise reporting requirements.
Able to understand and assimilate complex business and technical problems and provide objective, and clear solutions that align to both Telemetry and IT Strategy.
Demonstrable experience of software development life-cycles including Waterfall, Agile
Experience working on a variety of software environments
Foundation in IT Service Management (ITIL v3) is desirable
Experience of working in large scale and complex SAP environments
Excellent understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between different functional Modules of SAP
Technical knowledge and experience in SAP FICO, all sub modules and month/year end processes
Experienced in using Transport Expresso to support SAP transport process
Strong Technical and problem solving skills Capability
Experience in SAP ISU and SAP ECC6 would be beneficial
Knowledge IT Service Management toolsets, including Knowledge Base & Configuration Management
