The Job

1st / 2ndline IT Support Technician - Windows 7 / 10, Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory & Group policy, desktop builds - Central London - providing face to face and remote support for a range of interesting IT systems

In this busy role you'll take on support issues and change requests, taking them from triage through to fix or providing some root cause investigation to then engage specialist teams where a 3rd line resolution might be needed. There are some quite interesting and quirky systems so it's a varied role where you'll need to think on your feet and work with various specialist teams across the rest of the business. You'll need to enjoy IT support and have the mind-set to spot opportunities to improve processes or highlight things that could be slicker as well as investigating underlying issues which could reduce issues or prevent them happening again.

Ideal applicants will have a good service desk / helpdesk background and put the IT user first with experience of working to resolve tickets in an ITIL environment and a passion for providing IT support and building strong relationships with the wider business. You will also have experience of most of the following -

  • Install and Support of Windows-based PC's
  • Remote access & connectivity
  • Active Directory User Administration - moves, adds & changes, access rights & permissions
  • Microsoft Exchange Server & mailbox administration
  • Basic understanding of networking

Because of the nature of the work, candidates will be required to udergo specialist Security Clearance and existing or previous clearance would be highly desirable.

In return, a base salary of up to £30k is on offer (dependant on experience)
