The Job

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Our cleint is now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Business Innovation team based in Weybridge. This team is responsible for identifying, developing and delivering business and strategic partnership opportunities primarily for, but not limited to the Intelligent Factory business by working closely with internal teams, HQ and relevant third parties

The role may also assume account management responsibilities to support projects from initiation through to completion

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Business development & strategy : Support the formulation of Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and develop new business opportunities
  • Market Research : Provide market intelligence that includes, but not limited to market sizing, forecast, trends, etc. to deliver actionable insights
  • Partner Analysis : Identify and assess capabilities to help formulate a partner strategy
  • Competitor Benchmarking : Draw insights from competitors to help determine and prioritise our capability and growth strategy
  • Reporting : Provide timely updates to help drive decision-making and prepare and present to senior level as and when required
  • Project/Account Management : Prepare project/account plans, coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders across different geographical locations to ensure critical controls are implemented and risks are identified and managed

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial accumen with a consistent focus on revenue growth and delivering concrete business results
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to grow and manage relationships with customers and strategic partners
  • Strong ability to drive decision-making across multiple functions and organisational areas
  • A self-starter who can work through ambiguity and in unstructured environments
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
  • Good knowledge of the European market, especially Central Europe and Smart Factory industry, is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in business development and project/account management
  • Fluency in Korean and/or Polish is advantageous, though not essential
