Introduction

As part of the Portfolio Management Office this Demand Analyst job role has been created to ensure demand for business and IT initiatives are accurately captured, tracked and reported across the organisation.

The Job

This Demand Analyst job role has been newly created and joins an established PMO function within a forward thinking business based in West Sussex. The business are going through exciting changes and investing significantly in change projects impacting both IT and Business arenas, and it is this that is driving the requirement to recruit the Demand Analyst role.

You will need to possess a solid understanding of PPM tools, the delivery lifecycle ideally within IT / Software and the experience and ability to manage stakeholders of varying levels of seniority within the business.

You will also be able to demonstrate previous experience in such a role that includes estimating resource requirements and assignment processes.

The main purpose of this job role is to ensure that demand for business and IT projects is accurately captured, prioritised, resourced and tracked through the delivery lifecycle. This will then enable IT to have a clear picture of demand across the IT portfolio, including resource requirements and assignments, and a clear picture of progress on IT and Business initiatives.

Key accountabilities:

- manage demand register

- track initiatives through the demand process from initial request through to delivery

- prepare, facilitate and lead demand meetings to include all follow up documentation and actions

- provide regular reporting to key stakeholders, both internal and external

- analyse demand and resourcing trends, suggesting areas for improvement

This is an extremely visible role and will require effective communication skills across a wide and varying audience. This is role that will require you to establish and set-up the processes, procedures and relationships necessary to deliver this role successfully, and you will be given the support to implement such.
