The Job

A leading Defence contractor is requiring a Business Process Analyst to join their site in Barrow-in-Furness on an initial 6 month contract.

Security Requirements
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period. This role is paying £60.00 per hour LTD/Umbrella or £45.64 PAYE.

Role Objectives
* Produce process material to help deliver an IT tool recommendation in support of a development programme. The process is to be generic so that it can be reused by the business.
* Support the definition of the criteria and test scenarios to be used to make the recommendation that supports the development programme.
* Define and support the creation of the evaluation environment with the IT Function to be able to perform the IT tool evaluation.

Role Activities
* Capture process requirements on the appropriate document from stakeholders
* Produce the appropriate process documentation to support the captured IT Toolset requirements.
* Produce the appropriate documentation with the IT Function to enable the evaluation of the tools using the criteria.
* Work with the IT 'Room of Requirements' Team to establish the definition of the IT evaluation environment using the toolset requirements.
* Work with the rest of the team in support of the overall project.
* Development of Projects, Systems and Information Architecture in line with business requirements.
* Demonstrate Problem Analysis/Problem Solving methodologies.
* Coordination and delivery of IT activities/projects aligning to IT preferred methodology.
* Benchmark and review improved ways of working within IT.
* To know how to access, have a clear understanding of and apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards, Risk Assessments etc. applicable to your particular work scope and to obey all HS&E rules, control measures and security policies.

* Demonstrated business knowledge in relevant areas
* Experience of working in an IT development function with a range of complex deliverables across different areas.
* Knowledge of Submarines business policies and processes desirable
* Organisational skills, facilitation, mentoring, commercial awareness, budget management and quality/version control experience
* Relevant IT degree or business degree, experience in consultancy or people management position
* Stakeholder Management, Leadership and Problem Solving/Analysis expertise

The Business Process Analyst must be able to understand the full end to end process, understand project objectives and be able to apply their understanding to support the IT Function to identify a recommended option.
