Business Analyst (AD Domain Migration)
Fairly technical BA role to oversee AD migration for 11,000 users.
Based in Canary Wharf, this is a key role in a programme of work to upgrade 11,000 users to Office 365 & Windows 10, plus the consolidation of several Active Directory (AD) domains. You will take a lead role in identifying the user and application interdependencies across the AD domains. You will be actively involved in developing AD domain consolidation and migration strategies and plans. This will include initial testing, proof of concept and pilot migrations followed by a full migration plan. There will be some travel to other UK sites which will involve overnight stays. In more detail, you will develop and maintain an inventory of Users, Applications, Devices and Business units that are dependent upon the AD domains that are to be consolidated - this is likely to be managed in Excel - develop test plans for business applications / users and locations, act as the interface between the program technical teams and the UK business users on all aspects of the project, review the various approaches for domain consolidation and make recommendations of risk mitigation strategies and tool selection (where applicable) , assist in the production and maintenance of domain migration plans and schedules and help to ensure the accuracy of the data used to develop the domain migration schedules. The position is offered for an initial 3 months bur is likely to be extended. You need solid experience in a business analyst role in a large, complex business environment, previous experience of large scale desktop deployment and AD Domain migration projects in a BA role, previous experience of managing Business application remediation within desktop deployment projects and an in-depth knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques. Proficiency in using Excel is essential to handle large sets of data and create dashboards.
