Development Team Lead (.NET)
A successful travel software company are opening a new office in Southampton and they're looking for a Development Team Lead to manage their brand new team.
Ever had a flight delayed or cancelled, maybe a gate was changed and nobody told you. Annoying right? This company develop software that helps airlines and large travel companies communicate with their customers and give 1st class service - particularly when it comes to disruptions.
They've been going since 2000 and have become one of the industry's leading suppliers of customer messaging software. Thing is, they've been so successful that they've outgrown their current office and need to open a second one - this is where you come in.
They're looking for a Development Team Lead to help build their new Southampton hub, to work on brand new projects. This is the perfect opportunity to join a growing company, with a great culture and a passion for technology.
This position is open to people currently working as a Development Team Lead who is looking for a genuinely exciting challenge or perhaps a Senior Developer who is looking to take the next step in their career.

You will lead and line manage a team of developers across multiple project teams, ensuring that levels of engagement remain high and the team is empowered to deliver brilliant work. To include performing 1-2-1s, identifying training needs and managing professional progression.
You'll work closely with the other Development Team Leads to drive performance and engagement throughout the development teams, coordinate training needs and facilitate career progression.
You will still be 60/70% hands-on, getting involved in code, solutions design, setting standards, standardising and improving process etc.
Required Skills & Experience:
Development will be predominantly back-end .Net (C#) working in an Agile environment.
- Skills in C#, VB, SQL, XSLT, ASP.NET, Web API would be great.
- Design and implementation of services, using WCF or other service-oriented technologies
- Experience using Visual Studio and Git
- Excellent Object Oriented design skills (Design Patterns, SOLID)
- Experience with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ would be awesome.
Salary of up to £65,000 (depending on experience).
Private Medical Insurance.
25 days annual leave (plus an option to buy more).
5% Employer Contribution Pension Scheme.
