Data Science Software Engineer

A prestigious research and development consultancy are looking to recruit a number of highly intelligent individuals with an inquisitive nature and a passion for data science. Recognised as centre of excellence for world class innovation, this isn't an ordinary role; you'll be working on some of the most exciting and advanced projects in the electronics engineering industry. Specializing in the fields of autonomy and AI, communications & connectivity, data analytics and cyber security, there is plenty for you to get involved with. If you have natural problem solving abilities and genuinely enjoy driving innovation, generating ideas and asking 'what if', then this is the perfect environment for you.
As a data scientist, you'll be involved with a lot of high risk research projects, determining what is and isn't within the realm of possibility - if you have a demonstrable background in academic research or a PhD, you will thrive in this role. Experience with both structured and unstructured data is highly desirable. The job will not require any data analytics, but will be heavily focused on building models and engineering bespoke solutions for a wide variety of clients.
Whilst you will be using and learning a multitude of languages, you should at minimum have strong experience with Python. This job requires fast and self-motivated learners and in turn will reward you with access to high quality training and the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the best engineers in the industry.

Roles will be available in Romsey & Gloucester.
Due to the nature of some of the projects you'll be involved with, you must either hold or be eligible to achieve SC or DV clearance i.e. you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 10 years.
