Introduction

A Network Consultant is required for a 10 month contract (with possible extension) based in Whiteley, Fareham.

The Job

For this role the Network Consultant will be responsible for delivering a new data centre environment with a new high speed Network solution. The Network Consultant will work closely with internal & external engineers to identify and overcome network issues and relaying this on to the relevant stakeholders. This will look like reviewing the HLD (High level design) to ensure that the delivery is compliant to the project guidelines. The solution will also encompass firewall infrastructure primarily within a Cisco/Palo Alto firewall environments.

For this position the Network Consultant will need the following experience -

  • Monitoring and working on the improvements of network & firewall infrastructure -
  • Rationalising network designs
  • Cisco/Palo Alto firewalls
  • Data Centre exposure
  • Strong Stakeholder Management experience
  • Understanding of Network Architecture

This role will suit a candidate that has experience of being a system engineer with Networking SME experience that is used to managing third parties to deliver desired outcomes.

For this position the successful candidate will also be required to go through the security clearance process. This role is to start in November/ December 2018 and will pay in the region of £450 per day (LTD/umbrella) dependant on experience.
