A well-known Defence contractor requires a Business Analyst for a 6 months contract based in Preston.

The rates on offer will be £45 p/h Ltd/Umbrella OR £34.52 p/h PAYE.

Clearance Requirements

This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct access to ITAR Material. Therefore we can only consider British Nationals for this role and cannot consider those who hold a Dual Nationality. Job Description -

A Senior Business Analyst is reqiuired to provide Business Analysis for the Initial Provisioning Process and Toolset project, replacement of Aerospace Support for Technical Recommendations and Associated Logistics (ASTRAL). Conduct an enterprise wide review of the operational processes and concept of operations in the Initial Provisioning domain and the investigation, down selection and implementation of a modern COTS IP toolset that is compliant with all of the relevant standards, resulting in a capability that is fully supportable, easily adaptable to changing business needs and capable of being integrated to the other support systems contributing to an integrated end to end portfolio of support services.

The successful candidate will perform:

* Business analysis - The methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes, the information used and the data on which the information is based. The definition of requirements for improving any aspect of the processes and systems and the quantification of potential business benefits. The creation of viable specifications and acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction of information and communication systems.

* Requirements definition and management - The definition and management of the business goals and scope of change initiatives. The specification of business requirements to a level that enables effective delivery of agreed changes.

* Business modelling - The production of abstract or distilled representations of real world/business situations to aid the communication and understanding of existing, conceptual or proposed scenarios. Predominantly focused around the representation of processes, data, organisation and time. Models may be used to represent a subject at varying levels of detail/ decomposition.

* Business process testing - The planning, design, management, execution and reporting of business process tests and usability evaluations. The application of evaluation skills to the assessment of the ergonomics, usability and fitness for purpose of defined processes. This includes the synthesis of test tasks to be performed (from statement of user needs and user interface specification), the design of an evaluation programme, the selection of user samples, the analysis of performance, and inputting results to the development team.
