We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategy Manager to join a growing team of our client in Reading. This opportunity is on a permanent full-time basis.
You will be key in devising and deploying our strategy and challenging the Retail business to grow. The portfolio of accountability will be wide as this role will be at the core of understanding market changes and competitor activity.
Some of your other accountabilities will include:
*Development of Retail and Business Unit strategies based on data-driven analysis and external and internal research.
*Delivery of strategic insights based on qualitative and quantitative analysis.
*Successful engagement with stakeholders at all levels of seniority, ensuring plans are communicated effectively and delivered.
*Leading and managing discrete projects, delivering them on time and within budget.
*Writing and structuring effective presentations and papers to successfully influence and communicate strategic proposals.
*Conducting high level financial analysis and build business cases to assess the return on strategic recommendations.
*Regular engagement with multiple stakeholders across Business Units to prepare performance reports for the two co-heads of Retail and the broader business
*Successfully engagement with a broad range of stakeholders to coordinate Retail governance, including Retail Management Committee
*Monitoring and reporting on Retail business performance via setting and coordinating objectives and KPIs and validating and reporting on their delivery.
Your Skills and Experience
Exceptional analytical skills will be critical to this role. This encompasses the proven ability to accurately conduct financial and business analysis in a complex organisational structure. You must be customer focused, self-motivated and flexible, with a strong can-do attitude and positive influencing skills which give you the ability to obtain answers in a diverse retail organisation. You'll need outstanding stakeholder management skills so that you can effectively engage management and colleagues on all levels of seniority. You will also need resilience, rigour and gravitas to challenge the business when something isn't right. Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are essential so that you can deliver high quality insight to the business.
