A well known Defence Contractor requires a Software & Infrastructure Installation Engineer based in New Malden on a 12 month contract basis.

The rates for this role are £47.83 per hour Ltd / Umbrella or £37.01 per hour PAYE.

Job Description

The CMS Software Installation team have a contractor vacancy for a software developer to work on scripts and applications that support the automated software build and deployment for a number of Combat System Equipment. The team's common framework is currently being developed in support of Shared Infrastructure (SI), the Submarine Command System (SMCS) and the surface Combat Management System deployments on most UK navy platform.


Skills required as follows:

* Windows 7/10/Server 2008/2012/2016 functionality

* Active directory and domain knowledge

* Windows Scripting Tools - VB Script, PowerShell or Batch Job, .Net Framework and XML

* Windows security features

* Networks (architecture and protocols)

* Windows Deployment Services and automation of program deployment

* Debugging techniques.

* Virtual machines and VMware ESXi and PowerCLI.
