A Service Improvement & Knowledge Management Lead/Manager is required for 6 months (likely to be extended) based in Plymouth or Durham.
Main duties and responsibilities; To use relevant quality management or business improvement techniques for service improvement; Ensuring processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business requirements; Investigate, document and analyse current business processes; identify the organisational units which undertake, and support the business processes. Identify alternatives, assess feasibility, and recommend new approaches; Design processes that can be implemented with minimal disruption to supporting systems and that are cost effective; Creating detailed reports and action plans to support service improvements; Managing support requests to ensure timely and thorough resolution of issues; Monitor and drive resolution of issues; Co-ordinate and facilitate process improvement teams and other continuous improvement mechanisms; Provide guidance on the interpretation of relevant standards, with respect to the quality system.
Work with an award winning team with experience of working with other local, government and international organisations. * Gain knowledge and experience of the HM Land Registry CI methodology which incorporates wider theories and practices such as TRIZ and Antifragility. * Work at a strategic level with senior leaders. * Have a positive impact on the way HMLR introduces a major change to Operational working. We are a small, high profile team, working at a strategic level within the organisation and are looking for someone who can build effective working relationships with employees in both the CI Team and the Model Offices. We need someone who will hit the ground running - quickly gaining a good understanding of the HMLR CI methodology and able to provide consultation to staff and leaders at all levels. You will need your technical and personal skills to provide consultant support to the leadership team of the Model offices with identifying processes for improvement; establishing clear, current and robust baselining for the areas identified as requiring improvement. You will need to identify the most appropriate from a wide range of tools and techniques to record, communicate and develop ideas for change, for trial and subsequent roll out across the business. We are seeking someone with a Lean or LSS based qualification or equivalent, who has experience of baselining systems and identifying better ways of working (including Benefits identification and making the business case). You must be self-motivating; identifying what needs to be done and making it happen, whilst building strong and supportive working relationships with people at all levels. HMLR has set up two Model Offices (in Durham and Plymouth) to provide an environment to test potential changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness in relation to people, process, technology and physical environment. Consultancy and support is provided by the four members of the CI Team.
* Lean or LSS based qualification

* Self-motivated; identify what needs to be done and, consulting with others as appropriate, make it happen.
* LSS Green or Black belt

This role is to start asap and will pay £450 Umbrella £358.32 PAYE (in scope of IR35)
