A IT Service Consultant is required on a 3 month initial contract (possible extension) based in Kiddiminster, Worcestershire.

The Job

For this position the IT Service Consultant will be responsible for the co-ordination of technical IT staff to enhance and improve service offerings and IT Systems on customer sites. You will be the sole point of contact advising organistions of the best use of their IT from Data Centres to Windows operating systems and networks. You will oversee the improvements and then be responsible for ensuring the solution has been configured to standard.

The ideal candidate for this position with have a strong technical background with experience at consultant level liaising and managing teams of technical staff to implement workable solutions to improve BAU. You will have in depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Vmware, Cisco network solutions including switches and LAN environments. You will have worked within a ITIL environment and have experience promoting best practice within IT environments. The role would suit a candidate in a Team Lead/IT Management type position that is looking to take a step into Consultancy.

This role is to start on 1st September and will pay up to £175 per day (ltd/umbrella) dependant on experience.
