Data Centre Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished or aspiring Data Centre Engineer to join an ambitious Global IT technology company in Cardiff.

Your primary responsibility being the Data Centre Engineer will be to provide the necessary technical support of the client on-site Data Centre, playing a key part in the operation and functionality of the Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of the data centre processes and devices, including; include servers, laptops/desktops, racking equipment and monitoring of the DC environment
  • You will assist 3rd /4th line customer support to identify the errors and monitor occurrences related to data centre tasks;
  • You will also, be diagnosing and if possible resolve any errors, and maintaining a record to keep track of all the events and logs
  • You should have innovative forward-thinking mind-set, possessing the ability and freedom to come up with new and prospective ideas to improve processes and business-related tasks
  • And finally, you should have excellent communication skills required to effectively communicate with teams across the globe, vendors and senior customer stakeholders
