The Quantitative Analysts will support the senior leadership team with analytical support of both internal and external areas of interest including market research; and financial and operational analysis.

The Job

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and must have the following skills and qualities along with experience in O&G:

  • Ability to take large, disorganized data sets and synthesize them into useful summary financial, KPI, and market reports
  • Strength in creating presentations for executive level audiences that effectively summarize and answer complex questions and hypotheses
  • Ability to collect qualitative internal views on a topic (such as market size and structure), then seek external information to verify, support, or challenge these views and construct an independent view of the topic that is quantitatively supported and defensible, sometimes using incomplete information requiring logical, defensible extrapolation to come to a conclusion
  • Understanding of when to introduce multiple potential outcomes to respond to a single question
  • Demonstrate quantitative strength, creativity, the ability to accurately estimate time to complete projects and hit deadlines, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Display strong communication skills and the ability to leverage the collective knowledge of the existing team to support research efforts


  • Utilize problem-solving skills to design and build business cases
  • Build rigorous financial models to test hypotheses and support conclusions
  • Create and present effective presentations to senior management
  • Apply experience and knowledge to high-level analysis to advise on the risk profile of various options
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work closely with relevant parties to ensure strategies are executed in accordance with defined plans
  • Complete tasks and projects within previously agreed upon deadlines
  • Develop internal relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional leaders
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate / Technical Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, or related field.
  • Prior experience in similar job
