SAP Analyst - MM, WM, SD w/OTC - Oil & Gas Company - Full Time
Opportunity to join a $14B O&G company in Dallas! You will be responsible for working as part of a team to design, implement, & support solutions to improve business processes in the S&D space in collaboration with IT Business Partners
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
Leads a team on special projects or plays a lead functional role as assigned.
Provides support including configuration and enhancement requests for various SAP modules based on priorities from the IT Business Partner and works on special projects as needed.
Implements configuration changes, new releases and updates to the systems environment in an effort to optimize the use of Information Technology.
Designs interfaces, processes, reports, enhancements (including custom programs), and conversions for assigned complex and large-scale application systems and reporting environments to meet business requirements.
Designs and performs quality assurance testing and performs unit and integration testing.
Participates in IT projects that are implementing new business applications, or interfacing with current ERP system or other business applications.
Analyzes and redesigns, if needed, process and configuration issues as they occur in the ERP Production system.
Understands and works within corporate IT governance practices.
Facilitates meetings, conducts and leads presentations and/or training sessions with end-users, standardizing training and providing detailed documentation as needed.
Provides clear, concise weekly status reports for assigned team's issues and projects.
Supports and oversees integration points between assigned area of responsibility and other modules.
Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances.
A minimum of 8 years of ERP job specific experience is required.
SD (Sales & Distribution) & MM (Materials Management):
SD and MM for hydrocarbon processes.
Implements configuration changes, new releases, and updates to the back office environment including SAP and associated applications in an effort to optimize the use of Information Technology within supply chain operations.
Supports various interfaces between SAP and other supply chain and logistics systems.
TSW (Traders Schedulers Workbench)
Designs, maintains and adheres to IT standards for system development, change management, regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Implements configuration changes, new releases, and updates IS OIL modules as required for the effective support of supply chain operations.
Provides support to commercial business units and logistics functions in the trade capture, scheduling, and actualization of hydrocarbon movements in SAP utilizing SD, MM, and TSW modules.
SAP IS-OIL/Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred (Midstream/Pipeline & Downstream/Refining areas).
Experience with Salesforce or TMS is a plus.
A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
Highly versatile with strong team skills. Self-starter with the drive and ability to achieve planned objectives. Strong ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment as a team player. Creative, organized, good time-management and excellent communication skills, reading and writing, and highly responsive to customer needs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy. Presence and confidence to generate credibility both within and outside the Company. Well-developed interpersonal skills to create a positive interaction with people at all levels within and outside the organization. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both written and verbal communication; intermediate reading and writing skills at an intermediate , and the ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations.
Office based with travel up to 15% of time by land or air is required. Work conditions may require working petroleum refinery environment, warehouse and plant environments occasionally. Subject to varying road and weather conditions. Occasional long hours, as well as nights and weekends as needed.
