Desktop Support Manager
London based (with occasional travel)

Introduction
Our client, a leading insurance company in the IT sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Desktop Support Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 8 skilled IT Support Engineers. The position is based in London, with occasional travel required to our offices in Bournemouth and Stockport.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of IT Support Engineers, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of IT support services to all employees
  • Collaborate closely with other teams to deliver IT projects and initiatives successfully
  • Utilize your ITIL experience to implement best practices and improve service delivery
  • Oversee asset management, ensuring accurate inventory and timely replacements
  • Demonstrate strong expertise across the Microsoft Suite, troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement necessary changes
  • Proactively monitor systems and address potential IT challenges before they impact operations

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in IT support, with a focus on desktop support
  • Proven track record in managing and leading a team of IT professionals
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Suite and other relevant software
  • Experience in asset management, including inventory tracking and procurement
  • Strong understanding of ITIL methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to proactively identify and address IT challenges
