Job description
In this position you will report directly to the Accountable Manager and are responsible for:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining both Quality/Compliance Monitoring Program and Management System over Part CAMO and Part 145
- Ensuring EASA and national aviation regulations are observed and implemented appropriately over Part CAMO and Part 145
- Liaising with competent CAA aviation authority (e.g. AustroControl) and surveyor
- Management of findings and noncompliance reports
- Monitoring the implementation of a corrective action plan and conduct a follow up to ensure compliance
- Performing audits according to international and regulatory requirements and approved audit plans by following corporate policies and using techniques that deliver objective, measurable results
- Fulfilling all stages of the audit process including: scope, objectives, follow-up and closing
- Operations management system for CAMO and Part-145, in particular, hazard identification, risk management, safety performance and monitoring, safety training and documentation, internal reporting scheme & occurrence investigation.
Qualifications
In order to satisfy company requirements, and to meet the acceptance criteria of the Austrian CAA, the Quality & Compliance Manager must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous holder of EASA Form 4 approval is preferred but not mandatory.
- Practical experience & expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.
- Knowledge of human factors principles and EU management system requirements and their application (including safety management systems and compliance monitoring)
- 5 years of relevant work experience, of which at least 2 years should be from the aeronautical industry in an appropriate position.
- Relevant engineering or technical degree.
- Knowledge of the relevant sample of the types of aircraft or components gained through a formalised training course is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working in General Aviation is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of EASA regulations including Part 145 & Part CAMO particularly Part 145 Compliance Management 145.A.30(cc), AMC1 145.A.30(c)(ca), AMC1 145.A.30(e)(5), AMC3 145.A.30(e)(c) & Part 145 Safety Management 145.A.30(cc), AMC1 145.A.30(e)(5) and GM4 145.A.30(e).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Part CAMO: AMC1 CAMO.A.305(c)
- Knowledge of auditing techniques including planning, conducting and reporting.
- Must possess confident and effective interpersonal communication skills when dealing with colleagues, partners and authorities.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to take initiative.
- Flexible approach to work, to match the operational requirements
- IT proficiency, very good MS-Office skills and use of computer maintenance Programs, e.g. Traxxall, Web Manuals, Centrik etc.
- Excellent English language skills (both verbal and written), all additional languages are a plus (German language is not required)
- Must have the right to live and work in Austria.
