Job description
Senior Geologist - Doncaster
Our client, a market-leading provider of site investigation services, is seeking a Senior Geologist to join their expanding team based in Doncaster. With over 90 years of experience, our client offers expertise in geotechnical services, helping clients minimise uncertainty and risk while maximizing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage projects and business operations within their scope of responsibility
- Confident and knowledgeable of various ground investigation techniques on both land and overwater
- Day-to-day responsibility for planning, supervision, and programming of Ground Investigation projects throughout the United Kingdom
- Prepare Health & Safety documentation and ensure a safe working environment
- Act as a Site Agent and Logging Supervisor for medium to large-scale ground investigation projects
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and main contractors throughout the site works phase
- Keep accurate field records of tasks performed
- Perform logging of Soil and Rock in accordance with specifications
- Manage and collate site data using company software systems
- Contribute to technical proposals and assist with contract scoping
- Compile monthly financial project accounts and assist in maintaining project financial performance
- Promote the company's range of geotechnical services
- Develop and maintain business relationships
- Assist in managing the technical and professional development of staff
- Undertake site-based tasks on a variety of sites, including active construction sites
Job Requirements:
- 5-10 years of relevant site and industry experience
- Excellent awareness of ground investigation specifications, procedures, techniques, standards, and codes of practice
- Awareness and ability to implement Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
- Qualified to degree level in a geotechnical discipline
