Job Specification: Test Engineer / Technician

Excellent opportunity for a Test Technician / Engineer to work with an established Automotive company on Test, Fault Find, calibration, and facility set-up for hardware and software components.

Initially the hours will be Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays at 1pm butt his will likely change after 3-6 months to the below shift pattern and there is an additional 14.5% pay for shift work
Week 1:
o Mon to Thurs - 06:00 - 14:00 & Fri 06:00 -13:30

Week 2
o Mon to Thurs - 13:45 - 21:45 & Fri 13:00 - 20:30

Job Purpose
As a Test Technician / Engineer a, you will join a diverse team responsible for supporting testing activities related to fuel injection development, validation, and new technologies.
Operating within a dynamic test facility environment, which includes engine test cells, climatic chambers, thermal vibration rigs, hydraulic rigs, and a test vehicle garage, you will play a crucial role in adapting to evolving propulsion technologies and contributing to the achievement of our carbon-free combustion goals.

Key Responsibilities
Collaborate within a diverse testing team to support various testing activities.
Utilize advanced test setup techniques encompassing both hardware and software components.
Develop, edit, and execute test programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Perform high-level data manipulation to extract meaningful insights.
Communicate effectively within the team and with internal stakeholders.
Conduct fault finding and troubleshooting for test facility and product-related issues.
Monitor tests and intervene as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Capture data accurately and report faults to the internal customer base.
Provide calibration support for the test facility instrumentation.
Set up and maintain instrumentation, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to meet project expectations.
Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and project requirements.
Ensure adherence to test parameters and protocols.
Conduct conformance checks during validation and endurance testing.
Deploy RISK assessment technologies to mitigate potential issues.
Create and maintain work instructions to standardize procedures.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Follow documented processes and procedures consistently.
Participate in training activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of advanced test facility operations.
Maintain accurate test tracking and status reports.
