Site Supervisor / Resident Engineer - Short Term Contract

Site Supervisor for Enoch Hill wind farm - Near New Cumnock, for 2 months,

SMSTS is a must.

Role will be working on the client side and need to have experience of supervising sites in the wind sector, ensuring the construction is being done in line with the infrastructure drawings, looking at the rebar, amount of plant onsite and providing progress reports.

Project: Construction of 16wind turbines

10 Hour Days

The Site Supervisor's key responsibilities are listed below:

  • Notifying the Client of any differences between the drawings and the client specifications / employers requirements.
  • Establishing quality standards for workmanship and materials
  • Monitor contractor compliance with permits and provide ongoing support and control of permit related matters.
  • Co-ordinate any interface activities between all parties at site.
  • Report non-compliance of setting out and levels;
  • Report non-compliance of materials delivered to the site for incorporation into the works;
  • Report non-compliance of building, mechanical and electrical work in progress;
  • Keep daily / weekly diaries including weather conditions and plant/labour on site
  • Report directly to the client Project Manager.
  • Monitor the contractors' construction works and interfaces during construction phase for all works at site including monitoring for compliance.
  • Notify Defects as required
  • Issue final Defects Certificate
  • Monitor site safety and review related documentation for the contractors, ensuring that appropriate construction risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are in place for works being undertaken, prior to their commencement:

  • Ensure that such construction methods conform to industry standards and good industry practice.
  • Monitor all aspects of the contractors' environmental implementation as included in the CEMP. This will include supporting the ECoW to ensure the Pollution Prevention Plan, CAR General Binding Rules, Waste Management plan etc are all being adhered to by the BoP. Any non-conormances will be notified to RWE/BoP and the EcoW.
  • Manage and maintain site files and registers.
  • report on site construction activities to the Client, including production of a brief weekly report (including photographic record) to be issued including any key safety issues.
  • OEM deliveries and installation dates of each component of OEM crane activities and downtime (mechanical and/or bad weather/ wind delay)
  • Log of weather conditions and independent log of wind speeds etc if required for bad weather delay claims
