Job description

Senior / Principal Cloud Platform Engineer job role, joining an existing Cloud Platform Engineering team for this nationally operating business. This job role has been created at a time of real transformation as the business embarks on a strategic move to AWS.

This is a senior visible hire within the team and will support management with strategic insights in terms of the design and implementation activities as they move forward on their journey in AWS, and also help junior members from a technical standpoint. Lots of visibility and influence.

You will posses proven experience and technical skills in the following:

• DevOps Engineer tools / methodologies to include Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, IAC (essential)
• Experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environments (essential)
• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
• Strong networking and cloud networking background.
• Experience building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure.
• Prior success in automating a real-world production environment.
• Experience with configuration management tooling such as Ansible
• Strong scripting skills, i.e., Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.

You will be comfortable working cross functionally and possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
