The Job

This Enterprise Architect job role is a permanent, full-time position joining a successful globally operating business located on the South Coast. This is a key appointment within an established Architecture team and joins at a time of significant growth and investment. Based from offices near Southampton, hybrid / flexible working is in place, you will be the design leadership and design authority for the business's Digital Programme that is undertaking significant re-platforming activities to modernise their technology.

As the Architect, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, and supervision of all design activities for this major programme of work. You will need to possess excellent leadership skills, stakeholder management & communication skills whilst we are also seeking someone with demonstrable experience in software development life cycle, web development and associated technologies and processes. This is essential.

You will manage a team of both internal and external solution architects, to deliver the right designs in a timely manner. Whilst you will act as the design authority and escalation point for the programme.


Key Skills, Ability & Experience

  • Experience leading end-to-end public cloud web development designs
  • Experience leading end-to-end designs in an agile framework
  • Experience leading end-to-end designs for both SaaS and in-house developed solutions
  • Experience of influencing senior stakeholders on the solutions for proposed initiatives
  • Efficient in presenting complex topics and designs in a simple manner
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Being agile - balance speed and quality.
  • Ability to balance idealised solutions with practical business demands.
  • Familiar with the IT project life cycle, project management, development & QA methodologies
  • A clear appreciation of how IT must relate to the business
