Job description

The Role

To work directly with customers to integrate and support highly critical live solutions that have been developed by the wider project delivery team.

• You will take responsibility for release procedures and perform deployment tasks.
• You will take requirements expressed in Defence domain language and architectural frameworks, and translate into technical requirements and architectures suitable for implementing by Software Engineers.
• Infrastructure builds are anticipated to be a blend of MODCLOUD and bespoke internal provided infrastructure, some cloud based and some physical depending on the solution developed.

Areas of Responsibility

• Maintaining and developing architectural components including Data Ingest, Data Stores and REST APIs
• Work with Customers/Internal Technical teams to determine Architectural Requirements and then produce technical documents and presentations
• Ability to Design and Build IT Networks based on "on-prem", Cloud or Hybrid Infrastructure
• Experience in design of systems that utilise virtual infrastructure such as VMWare product family
• Hands on configuration of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows 10 and DNS and DHCP.
• Design and Operation of security products such as Firewalls, IDS, IPS and encryption devices

Skills required:

• Infrastructure provisioning & maintenance to support development & test, operations & maintenance
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
• CI pipeline development & maintenance
• Experience with virtualisation tools & technologies e.g. Docker, VMware
