The primary responsibly of the Field Engineer is installing, diagnosing, servicing maintaining High-end Unisys proprietary products as well as other computer-related products such as desktop and laptop computers, printers, standard software, high-end servers, networking devices, Storage Devices, and large -scale payment products. When in support of ITO engagements will be recognized as desk side support specialist. May be directed by Help Desk, Service Desk, or script using standard methods, techniques, and tools. Handles more complex products, problems, and/or projects and may provide technical guidance to lower level engineers. May function as a team or on-site leader as necessary. Provides technical support to customers in solving technical problems that occur during the installation or operation of company supported products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation/removals/relocations and services (IMAC) for standard Wintel client infrastructure within the client's campus location
  • Hardware repairs (break & fix), as well as handling of spare parts and swapping of replacement equipment
  • Basic Network setup, shares and connectivity for Desktops, Notebooks, mobile devices, IP telephony and Printers
  • Assistance, guidance and training of users regarding used HW (incl. mobile devices), main and mobile applications and Data Recovery/Security.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by advising individuals on preventive maintenance and configurations which may positively impact product performance
  • Takes responsibility for potential or desired follow-up services or problem escalation
  • Administration of service tickets in own Ticket System
  • Adherence to the given service parameters incl. timely and accurate reporting
  • Support for mobile Devices, iOS and Mobile applications
  • Meeting room support
  • Provide technical documentation, create user guides


Key Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of MS operating systems (Windows 7, 10) and MS Office 365 applications, as well as Apple OS and COTS applications (commercial-off-the-shelf-products)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Teams
  • Professional experience in the areas of Networks, Active Directory, security; VPN
  • Professional Hardware experience in Desktop, Notebook, Peripherals as well as Printer and mobile devices and tablets; certifications beneficial
  • Experience in supporting hybrid meeting rooms
  • Excellent soft skills such as resilience, friendliness, experience in service, team player, well-groomed and confident manner
  • Skills in Intune and SharePoint are advantageous
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • High level of initiative, customer focus and solving problem attitude
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in supporting IT
  • Driving license B is advantageous


This is to start asap and will pay 67 EUR/hr.
