The Job

Job title: Information Security Architect

Location: Remote or office based (whatever you prefer)

Salary: Up to £80,000 depending on experience plus an annual bonus

We are currently working with a global, market leading media company as they expand their Security team in the search for an Information Security Architect.

The Information Security Architect will help design, build, test and implement secure solutions for the business, as well as supporting management with the overall assurance of Information Security.

The role includes developing, maintaining, enforcing Information security standards, policies and procedures in line with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards, Cyber Essentials Plus recommendations and industry best practice.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, implement and support enterprise-class security systems. Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements
  • Align organisational security strategy and infrastructure with overall business and technology strategy
  • Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge
  • Plan, research and design robust security architectures for any IT project
  • Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
  • Review and approve installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies and servers
  • Provide supervision and guidance to a security team
  • Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies and procedures
  • Assisting with the support and ongoing maintenance of the ISO 27001:2013 ISMS
  • Contribution to Information Security strategy, overseen by the Global Head of Information Security and Risk.



The ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid knowledge of meeting the requirements of ISO 27001:2013 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Ability to design and review system architectures through the development of patterns and principles.
  • A strong knowledge of system architectures. You can understand and articulate the impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs, systems and how easy or difficult it will be to exploit these vulnerabilities.
  • Ideally experience of vulnerability management using Qualys VMDR, experience of cloud platform technologies with Microsoft Azure and AWS, experience using a centralised SIEM solution and experience of incident response processes and playbooks.
