An Insurer Support Analyst is required on a perm basis based in Worcester (Office based once a fortnight but can be flexible).

The Job

Reporting to the Insurer Support Team Leader, the aim of this role is to provide technical and user support for insurance companies and brokers regarding Rates/POS/EDI functionality on systems and also to provide secondary support to Support Centre.
Key responsibilities:

  • Post quote EDI analysis for Private Car, Home, Motorcycle, Commercial Vehicle
  • Train to become proficient in the support of the same products for EDI/POS, Insurer Admin Systems, and Mobius Rating.
  • Assist the team by implementing procedures for dealing with support issues.
  • Manage customer support calls logged via the Service Desk, Responding to the customer within agreed KPIs.
  • Dial into brokers' systems using relevant communication software and fix incorrect/corrupt policy data using relevant EDI data editing tools.
  • Analyse, identify, and resolve support queries via direct communication with Insurance Companies, Brokers, Development, Business Analysts, and QA Test teams.
  • Raise Jira tickets for development for any corrective work for live Insurer products. Ensuring all accompanying information to substantiate the issue is provided for the ticket.
  • Second-line support for the Support Centre for more in-depth EDI/POS issues/Mobius Rating issues.
  • Participate in Insurer meetings where necessary to provide updates and discuss issues.
  • Engage with 3rd party providers to support services major service incidents affecting the services.
  • Perform any other duties from time to time as reasonably required by the Support Team Leader.


  • Good standard of general education.
  • Good knowledge of Personal Lines Insurance
  • Recognized insurance qualifications (advantage)


  • Experience in analysis, research, or equivalent role
  • Knowledge of personal lines insurance
  • Experience in an insurer/broker/software house environment


  • Excellent communicator and good interpersonal skills at all levels (internally and externally).
  • Ability to discuss requirements at a technical and business level.
  • Pragmatic in approach when dealing with customer demands and requirements, with good negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analysis skills.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on a number of different support issues simultaneously and work under pressure without supervision to satisfy internal/external demands.
  • In addition to fixing current issues, looks to ways of preventing the same problems from occurring in the future.

  • Ability to train others in complex system functionality clearly and effectively. Provides frequent feedback and coaching to others on ways to improve performance.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to analyse, identify and resolve customer issues. Logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Quick-thinking - ability to respond quickly and efficiently to urgent support situations.


  • Salary between £20,000 to £23,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
