The Job

My client is a non-departmental public body which regulates work-based pension schemes in the United Kingdom. They are responsible for protecting workplace pensions in the UK and work with employers and those running pensions to help people save for their retirement.
As a result of continued growth they now have an exciting 12 month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity for a Corporate Governance Officer who will be responsible for coordinating the Governance Review and supporting the delivery of its key objectives

  • The analysis, assessment, and mapping of the current strategic decision-making governance structure;
  • Project management and coordination of the Governance Review project and steering group
  • Providing support to testing different solutions and options to improve the effectiveness of decision-making
  • Producing process and procedural documents, templates, structure charts and other governance tools;

Essential Criteria

  • Effective stakeholder management and proven project planning experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently to varied stakeholders, both orally and in writing, to influence thinking, provide clear and concise reporting and to influence the actions of others
  • Networking skills to establish and maintain strong internal and external working relationships
  • Standard Office IT software applications


  • Established technical knowledge and understanding of pensions and/or financial regulation
