Job description

Role Purpose

To lead and deliver the day-to-day management of effective integrated produce support for projects, in line with company, customer and contractual standards and requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Design, develop and manage the ILS including planning, co-ordinating of resources and the support solution for products and ILS requirements in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Develop and manage ILS Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedules whilst estimating ILS levels of effort, man hours etc for costing purposes.
  3. Analysing the support requirements within a bid / project and define the tasks and associated resources required to ensure the most appropriate support strategy and solution.
  4. Influence the product design to enhance in-service reliability, availability, maintainability and supportability.
  5. Manage the performance of sub contractors to ensure output meets internal and customer requirements.
  6. Develop and/or provide technical peer reviews of ILS management, planning and reporting documentation.
  7. Develop, review and initiate updates to the Logistic Information Repository (LIR)to ensure its maintenance is in accordance with required standards.
  8. Monitor and update the Obsolescence Risk Register and initiate actions with Engineering in response to changes in configuration item status.
  9. Lead the planning and delivery of the Supportability Analysis Programme.
  10. In collaboration with the In Service Support Manager, monitor and report on the of Aerospace and Simulation support solution performance.

Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

Previous practical experience in defence logistics/supply chain and effective management of sub-contractors and/ or customers is required.
